MOODLE 5.3 DEMO TERMS
Last updated October 4, 2026
These terms apply to the free, temporary Moodle 5.3 demo platform (the “Demo”) offered by TuchSoft OÜ (“we”, “us”, “our”) at tuchsoft.com/tools/try-moodle-503/. By requesting a Demo you accept these terms in full.
1. What the Demo is
- The Demo is a private, disposable Moodle 5.3 instance created for you on request. You receive an administrator account and can install plugins, upload files, import content and change settings.
- It is free. There is no cost, no credit card and no subscription.
- It is temporary: it runs for 15 minutes, may be extended with one click up to a hard limit of 45 minutes, and is then permanently destroyed together with everything stored in it.
- It is a test environment, not a hosting service. It comes with no availability, backup or support guarantee.
2. Eligibility and fair use
- You must be at least 16 years old and request the Demo for a legitimate business or professional purpose.
- One active Demo per email address, and no more than a reasonable number of Demos per person or organisation, so the service stays available to everyone.
- You may not resell, sublet or represent the Demo as your own hosting service.
3. Acceptable use
You are the administrator of your Demo, and you are responsible for what you put in it. You agree not to:
- upload or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful or malicious content;
- use the Demo to send unsolicited bulk email, spam, or phishing of any kind;
- use it for cryptocurrency mining, denial-of-service activity, network scanning or attacks on any system;
- attempt to escape the container, access other demos, or interfere with our infrastructure;
- store real personal data or any sensitive or regulated data. The Demo is destroyed at the deadline and is not a safe place for personal data; use fictitious data for testing.
We may suspend or terminate a Demo immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.
4. No warranty and no liability
- The Demo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Everything you upload is erased at the deadline and cannot be recovered. Do not rely on the Demo for anything you need to keep.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, content or profit arising from your use of the Demo.
5. Your data and privacy
- To create the Demo we collect the details you submit: your first and last name, work email, company or organisation, role, and (optionally) the plugins you intend to test.
- We use these details to verify your email, create and deliver the Demo, and contact you about the Demo and related Tuchsoft products and services.
- Your details are stored in our customer relationship management system and used to send you transactional and, where you consent, marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
- Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Intellectual property
Moodle is open-source software and remains subject to its own licence. These terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights in our website, brand or services to you. Content you upload remains yours, and disappears with the Demo.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you request a Demo is the version that applies.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, where TuchSoft OÜ is registered, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you.
